Elizabeth was chopping the potatoes when Suzanna came inside, her heart pounded so fast she thought she was choking on it. She glanced up, distracted by Suzanna's physical appearance. She dropped the knife immediately and rub her hands on a napkin.

She hurried to meet Suzanna and found a chair for her to sit. 

"A glass of water, ma'am."

"Yes please." Suzanna answered sitting on the chair.

She returned with a tray and a glass of water on it. Suzanna drank up. 

"I thought I was giving her the right kind of life." Suzanna began to speak. "She never appreciated it for once." Her heart started pounding again.

"It doesn't look like that's the real problem, ma'am." 

Elizabeth had always been Michelle's nanny right from age three. She understood Michelle's feelings to some point. She was lonely.

"What's her problem? I gave her food, clothing and shelter. What else does she want?"

"A reason for exist..." Lizzy didn't finish her speech before Suzanna cut in.

She clenched her fist. "Nonsense. She doesn't know anything about the world out there. Good people are turned into demons whenever they go out there."

She was trembling. "Yes ma'am."

Elizabeth prayed silently in her heart.
