WAITING
Hello there! PJ here 🙂. Thank you for stopping by once again! 🤗
"In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.”
– Albert Camus
WAITING
"You have found my rest, you are in control."
- H I L L S O N G
The rain softly moisten the earth. Michelle stood, watching the rain drops from the tent falling on her palm. Her own private symphony. She dragged a chair out from the corner and sat. Her muscles loosened and she closed her eyes.
She tried to plot an escape plan in her mind. It didn't work out well. She had been in the house all her life and she doesn't even know what route to take. She soon gave up on the thought. She stood up again.
Everything Michelle knew was the house she lived in with her mother and Elizabeth, her nanny. No one looks at me. No one speaks to me. Nothing.
"I'm only trying to keep you safe, dear. It's not safe out there." Mama said repeatedly.
"Why don't you take me along with you then?"
"The time isn't right yet" Mama said, pouring herself a glass of orange juice.
When will she ever get the chance to step out there, see more of the outside world apart from Lizabeth and Mama.
She swallowed bitterly.
